Description

This redundant processor is part of the Modicon M580 range, an offer of Programmable Automation Controllers (PAC) and safety Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) with built-in Ethernet. This product offers a maximum of 16 remote rack configuration with up to 16384 discrete I/O channels and 4096 analog I/O channels. The Modicon M580 automation platform complies with "TC" treatment requirements (treatment for all climates) and can operate in temperatures ranging from 0°C to +60°C/32°F to 140°F. This controller can help hybrid manufacturers to achieve better, measurable, earlier ROI and Up to 100% returns on their project investments in less than three months. It is equipped with 1 Ethernet port for service, 2 Ethernet ports for ring remote I/O network (Remote IO racks only) and 1 USB type mini B for programming console. It has an integrated RAM of 16MB for program, 2048kb for data, 10kb for system memory and expandable flash of 4GB for data storage. This product is IP20 rated and offers 644562 hours of MTBF. The new grey design is applied for this module with a weight of 0.849kg and its new dimensions 64x130x135mm. This module meets the needs of applications in Transportation, Water and Waste Water, Consumer Packaged Goods, Mining Minerals Metals, Power generation, Energies and Chemicals, and Data centers. This product complies with CE, UL, CSA, RCM, EAC, and UKCA standards and is certified for Power Generation, Merchant Navy, Railway and Hazardous areas applications. This processor is compatible with Modicon X80 and Quantum Modules with RJ45 (490NAC0100) and FO singlemode (490NAC0201) connectors. The CPU must be installed in the rack slots marked 00 and 01, with 2 screws on top of the CPU to maintain the module on the rack. This product can be used in combination with Modicon X80 (I/O, backplane, cable) and works with the EcoStruxure Control Expert programming software. Modicon M580 improves reliability and sustainability, as well as productivity with high performance and increases operating profitability due to efficient access to data.
